The next meeting of Rip chapter 40 will be held on Saturday September 7, from 9 am to 2 pm.  It is being held at the Saratoga Springs Unitied Methodist Church, 175 Fifth Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866.
 
Jim Holmgren from chapter 84 will be our speaker. He will speak about his restoration of a Wag on the Wall clock, about which he published an article in the NAWCC Bulletin. He also will speak about restoring clocks found in the Habitat for Humanity ReStore to sell and raise money for Habitat for Humanity. 

There will be a large mart (free tables) powered by 60 banana boxes of clocks and parts purchased by Peter Elmendorf, and a silent auction. We will also have a $100 prize for the best Seth Thomas clock determined by a vote of those present. Don’t forget to check out the books available to borrow from our library.

Enjoy the continental breakfast and a luncheon at noon, especially since there are no charges or fees for registration, breakfast or lunch!

Please bring an article for the church food pantry. 

The Monday Night Clock Group continues to meet as it has for the past 40 years at the Burnt Hills Baptist Church on Kingsley Road Burnt Hills, NY every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Coffee and refreshments are served and there is a weekly talk on collecting and repairing clocks and watches.  As well, clocks and watches are bought and sold and the public is invited to attend for advice on repair and appraisal and to join the group, fees are $20. per year and we take the summer off, starting after Labor day and ending in June.  Call Peter Elmendorf at 518-587-4435 for more information.
