Support the Museum

The National Watch and Clock Museum relies on the generosity of NAWCC members, private individuals, businesses, foundations, and state and federal grants for its funding. There are a number of ways that you can support the Museum's efforts to educate and preserve our shared horological heritage.

 Friends of the Collection

Friends of the Collection bring together people with a personal commitment to strengthening and preserving the National Watch & Clock Museum's collections. Your annual membership of $100 or more is tax deductible and will be used solely to cover expenses associated with the care, preservation and curation of objects in the collection.

Whether your passion is clocks, watches, or horological tools, membership in the Friends of the Collection provides a special opportunity to preserve the the art and artifacts of our shared horological past. Demonstrate your enthusiasm for this mission with other collectors through your support of the Museum's collection care. Members of the Friends of the Collection can arrange for personal tours of the Museum's collection storage areas and private examinations of Museum objects during their visits to the Museum. Additionally, the names of Friends of the Collection are listed on a display panel at the entrance to the Museum exhibit galleries and on the Museum website.

Become a part of the nation's largest horological museum, where the collection is truly representative of the whole history of the art, science and history of time and timekeeping. By joining the Friends, you support the Museum's world-class collection of horological artifacts so that they will be available for future generations to study and enjoy.

Business Timekeepers Membership

The National Watch and Clock Museum Business Timekeeper Membership provides a means for businesses to show their support for the museum's mission of educating the public on the history of time and timekeeping, preserving the world's finest timekeeping devices and serving as a catalyst for tourism.

Why support the National Watch and Clock Museum?

The National Watch and Clock Museum preserves timekeeping devices from across the world and includes some of the finest examples found anywhere. Our objects are so unique and important that some are on loan to the Smithsonian Institution!

Thousands of visitors a year pass through the Museum to explore the interesting subject of time and timekeeping through the Museum's modern and engaging permanent and changing exhibits. Each of these visitors spends an average of $76 a day in our community.

Programming is offered throughout the year to schoolchildren (free for Columbia Borough School District) and families from across the Central Pennsylvania region on the science and history of timekeeping.

The Museum strives to be a good neighbor to its community. This year the Museum will again offer free movie nights and a free Family Museum pass through the Lancaster County Library System; it also will serve as a drop-off point for the Toys-for-Tots program and will continue to maintain a close relationship with local school systems.

The Museum is part of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, and Timekeepers membership will provide your business with exposure to the NAWCC membership.

Other benefits include presence on the National Watch & Clock Museum website (if requested), free Museum passes, Museum Store discounts, recognition, and more!

The business community's support is vital to the future of the National Watch and Clock Museum and its mission.
